Nottingham Forest are moving through another transfer window defined by urgency rather than comfort. A damaging 1-0 Europa League defeat away to Braga underlined the issue, Forest travelled without a recognised striker, a problem that threatens to shape their European campaign and domestic momentum.
Manager Sean Dyche was candid after the loss, confirming recruitment is underway. Speaking to TNT Sports, Dyche said: “We’re certainly working on it.“The club know, they’re aware. They can see the situation. So yeah, we’re certainly working on it. We’ll see.” The message was brief but pointed, Forest’s striker gap is acknowledged at every level.

Forest are attempting to land Italian forward Lorenzo Lucca, currently on loan at Napoli from Udinese. For Dyche, the striker profile matters, physical presence and reliability could determine whether Forest steady themselves before the Europa League play-offs arrive.
