Selçuk Demir has shut down talk of Demba Ba leaving Dunkerque amid interest from Le Havre. He said Ba is already working on the summer window.
According to L'Équipe, Le Havre want Ba to replace Mathieu Bodmer as sporting director and he has been in contact with their hierarchy. Lorient had already explored a move for him last winter.
Demir said they speak four times a day while planning the close season, the upcoming campaign and those beyond. He called the outside interest a consequence of Ba’s excellent work at Dunkerque, and reiterated that his co-president will be there next season.
Ba, a former striker, currently serves alongside Demir in the club’s leadership.
Away from staffing matters, the 10th-placed side in Ligue 2 saw Thursday’s DNCG hearing end with a sursis à statuer. The club must provide additional elements to retain their place in the second tier.
