Selke penalty sparks Başakşehir as visitors stay sixth

Başakşehir beat Kayserispor 3-0 in Kayseri to stay sixth in the Süper Lig.
Davie Selke put the visitors ahead from the spot in the 35th minute after Amine Harit was fouled. Moments later, Harit struck the right post (38.).
Kayserispor's night worsened when Ramazan Civelek turned into his own net (67.). After Nuno da Costa replaced Selke (69.), the forward sealed it with a low finish to the far corner from Eldor Shomurodov's pass (86.).
Bilal Bayazit kept the hosts in it with five saves, notably denying Shomurodov after the restart. Muhammed Sengezer was alert before the break, tipping over a close-range header.
Başakşehir registered 13 attempts with seven on target. Kayserispor managed seven attempts and two on target. The visitors also edged possession, holding 54.6%.
Kayserispor remain 16th in the relegation zone on 15 points. Next, they visit Galatasaray in the league. Başakşehir host Caykur Rizespor next.
