Antoine Semenyo is celebrating this morning after scoring the winner in the FA Cup final. Semenyo scored the only goal of the game as Manchester City beat Chelsea 1-0 at Wembley, backheeling past Robert Sanchez in a magic moment.
The winger’s goal was his latest impressive moment since signing for the Cityzens from Bournemouth in January.
After his FA Cup final winner, Semenyo has now scored 10 goals in all competitions for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Having also scored 10 goals for Bournemouth before his winter window transfer, Semenyo has become only the second player to score 10+ goals for two Premier League clubs in the same season.
Andy Cole is the only other player to have achieved that feat, having netted 15 times for Newcastle United before his £7m move to Manchester United in 1994/95, after which he scored 12 times across all competitions.
His 20th goal of the season also saw Semenyo become the Ghanaian player with the most goals as a Premier League player in a single campaign. The previous record was held by Tony Yeboah, who scored 19 times for Leeds United in 1995/96.
