Senegal will appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, CAS, after the Confederation of African Football annulled their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final win. The title was awarded to Morocco on Tuesday.

The Senegalese Football Federation said in a statement that it will lodge an appeal to CAS as soon as possible to retain the African title. It reiterated an unwavering commitment to integrity and sporting justice, and said it had been notified of a decision dated 17 March 2026 from CAF’s Appeals Jury. The statement called the ruling unjust, unprecedented and unacceptable, adding that it discredits African football.
