Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos is eyeing what would be nothing short of a groundbreaking return to the club where he spent the glory years of his career.

That’s according to Fichajes, who have this weekend provided an insight into the situation.

The name of veteran defender Ramos has returned to the media headlines in force over the course of the last 48 hours.

This comes after word was forthcoming that the 39-year-old has made the call to bring a close to his time in Mexico with Rayados.

Ramos, however, is not yet ready to hang up his boots…

Instead, the icon of Spanish football is keen to take on one final adventure before bringing a close to his playing days.

And according to the aforementioned Fichajes, the dream scenario for Ramos would be a reunion with Real Madrid.

The centre-back is said to have ‘offered himself’ to Los Blancos on a short-term basis, in the hopes of retiring as a member of Xabi Alonso’s squad.

The brass at the Bernabéu, however, are for their part not taking any such move into consideration.
