Sevilla face a pivotal week on and off the pitch, with Sergio Ramos fronting a bid to take control as the team battles to stay in Primera. Two home wins under Luis García Plaza have eased nerves.

Canal Sur reported an eight-hour meeting on Monday at a Seville hotel between Ramos’s group and major shareholders, starting at 11.00. Present were representatives of the Carrión family, Carolina Alés, José Castro and secretary Alberto Pérez-Solano.

Ramos attended with brother René, lawyer Julio Senn and close advisers. He had mostly stayed in the background with Five Eleven Capital, so the face-to-face marked a shift.

Funding remains the key hurdle, with Five Eleven Capital and CEO Martin Ink needing to finalise investors and show proof of funds. Estadio Deportivo filmed Ink entering the Hotel Sevilla Center on Tuesday, optimistic about progress.

El Correo de Andalucía reported that talks went very well, most points were closed and the agreement is being finalised, though not immediately.

Indicative valuations are around 450 million euros, or a little over 400 million including debt, with payment timing linked to survival. On-field results could shape price and investor confidence.

AS says an exclusivity window for Ramos’s group runs to 31 May, pushing final guarantees and paperwork. Any purchase of 25% or more of a SAD needs CSD approval, and a capital increase of 80 to 100 million euros is envisaged.

Separately, Monchi has joined Espanyol as sporting chief, distancing himself from any immediate role in the Ramos project.
