Sevilla could face a major reset if the ownership change driven by Sergio Ramos and Five Eleven Capital is completed. The shake-up could reach the dugout, with José Bordalás linked, and extend to marquee signings led by Ansu Fati.

Sport reports that the Barcelona academy graduate is on Ramos’s shortlist as the potential centrepiece of a new Sevilla squad. Speculation grew after the AS Monaco forward attended Celta Vigo v Sevilla at Balaídos.

A decision on the Spain international is expected in the coming weeks. He has enjoyed a productive season in Ligue 1 with Monaco, who are weighing up an 11 million euros purchase option. The player had prioritised a Barcelona return, but Hansi Flick does not plan to use him next season, which keeps a Sevilla switch in play if he prefers Spain over France.

For any deal to progress, Ramos would first need to finalise control of the club. He would then have to convince Fati to turn down Monaco’s option, before negotiating favourable terms with Barcelona.

His camp view Seville positively, and his father Bori has previously called a return to Andalusia an ideal option. Childhood ties to Marinaleda in the province of Seville strengthen that pull.

Meanwhile Sevilla have finalised their first two moves for next season, signing right-back Juan Iglesias from Getafe and centre-back Arouna Sanganté on a free from Le Havre. Both will reinforce the back line of a project aiming to raise its level in the market.
