The Partenopei are the defending title holders but they come to this game on the back of two consecutive losses against Torino and PSV.

Furthermore, some of their key players are out of action. Romelu Lukaku, Stanislav Lobotka and Rasmus Hojlund have not recovered from injuries, while Alex Meret suffered a fracture of the second metatarsal in his right foot on Friday.

Sky Sport and Gazzetta claim that Sam Beukeman will partner with Alessandro Buongiorno in central defence, while Corriere dello Sport says Juan Jesus will start alongside the Italian defender.

Italian media outlets also suggest that Neres is the favourite to start as a false nine over Lucca, the only fit centre-forward in the Partenopei squad, who, however, has failed to meet expectations this season.

Inter, on the other hand, will rely on Bonny and Lautaro Martinez in attack as Marcus Thuram is still injured. Tomas Palacios, Raffaele Di Gennaro and Matteo Darmian are also unavailable for the Nerazzurri, who have won the last seven games across all competitions.

The winner of this fixture will jump to the top of the table, as Milan were held to a 2-2 home draw by Pisa on Friday, so the Rossoneri have a two-point lead over Napoli, Inter and Roma.
