The summer window is nearing, and Sunderland, already safe with an outside shot at Europe, are eyeing reinforcements. Regis Le Bris has assembled a resolute defence, but extra firepower and depth could sharpen their push.

According to Sunderland Echo, seven Europe-based targets have been identified with help from X’s AI chatbot Grok. It follows last summer’s successful arrivals of Noah Sadiki, Robin Roefs, Nordi Mukiele, Brian Brobbey and Granit Xhaka.

Strasbourg striker Joaquin Panichelli, 23, has 16 goals in 27 Ligue 1 games, a focal point with aerial presence. His contract runs to 2030, yet a realistic fee could keep him within reach. AZ’s Troy Parrott, 24, has 14 goals and four assists in 23 Eredivisie outings and can play across the front.

At Como, Nico Paz, 21, has 10 goals and six assists in 29 Serie A appearances, bringing vision, dribbling and flexibility across midfield and wide roles. Braga’s Rodrigo Zalazar, 26, has 15 league goals plus assists, combining energy, long-range threat and defensive work.

Toulouse centre-back Charlie Cresswell, 23, is a regular noted for aerial strength, composure and progressive passing, qualities that could deepen Sunderland’s backline. On the left, Utrecht’s Souffian El Karouani, 25, supplies overlaps, chance creation and reliable defending, adding welcome width.

Ajax winger Mika Godts, 20, has 14 goals and nine assists in 26 league games, injecting pace and end product. Young with room to develop, he fits the club’s recruitment model.
