Sevilla FC have been dealt fresh injury concerns less than a week before hosting Valencia CF in LaLiga, with recent poor results and the survival fight still in mind.
According to Superdeporte, Wednesday's session at the Ciudad Deportiva under Matías Almeyda saw Kike Salas and Odyseas Vlachodimos sit out, two significant absences, though there is hope the goalkeeper could be available.
Salas has a right calf issue, specifically the medial gastrocnemius, which kept him out against FC Barcelona. He was initially expected to miss around two weeks, though a late push to face Valencia was not ruled out.
Even so, he did not train with the group on Wednesday, a discouraging sign with so few days left for a return in defence.
Vlachodimos worked in the gym the same day. The concern is far lower, seen as workload management to keep him at 100 percent for the run-in, after emerging as one of Sevilla's most important performers.
