Barcelona will host Sevilla later today in what promises to be another important La Liga encounter.
Barcelona have been extremely strong at home this season, turning the Spotify Camp Nou into one of the most difficult stadiums for visiting teams.
Despite Barcelona’s impressive run of form, Sevilla midfielder Djibril Sow believes the Catalan side are not unbeatable.
Sow reflected on the earlier meeting between the two teams this season in an interview with AS, when Sevilla managed to secure a memorable victory.
That result continues to give the players confidence heading into the upcoming clash.
“The victory in the first leg [Sevilla beat Barcelona 4-1 earlier in the campaign] was one of the best moments for me at Sevilla. That home win in front of our fans was incredible.
“We know it’s very, very difficult because they’ve won every home game, but for us, the first leg gives us the motivation to believe we can get something out of it.
“It makes us believe we’re capable of doing it, while knowing it’s going to be very, very difficult.”
One of the biggest threats in Barcelona’s lineup is young star Lamine Yamal, who has been widely praised for his performances this season.

However, Sow revealed that from a midfielder’s perspective, the player who demands the most attention is actually Pedri.
“He controls Barcelona’s entire game, and it’s going to be very important to defend him well, just as we did in the first leg.
“I think we were almost perfect in midfield that day because we neutralised Pedri, and they weren’t able to play their game. Now we’re going to try to do it again on their home turf.”
Sow also spoke about the challenge of facing teams coached by Hansi Flick.
The midfielder previously encountered Flick’s sides while playing in Germany and knows how intense the German coach’s tactical approach can be.
“Yes, I played against Bayern several times when I was in Germany, and his team always played with a lot of intensity.
“It’s very difficult to play against them because Flick’s teams fly down the field. But I also think that with our style of play, there are opportunities to hurt them,” he concluded.
