Sevilla are weighing a move for Jamie Vardy to bolster their attack next season, with the striker a free agent after leaving US Cremonese.

According to La Colina De Nervion, the 39-year-old would welcome a switch to the Sánchez-Pizjuán, while Sheffield Wednesday and Leicester City have shown interest. The report adds that Sevilla are evaluating him among possible options.

The search has intensified after Akor Adams was confirmed to be joining Venezia, a deal worth more than 20 million euros if the add-ons are met. His exit helps the finances but leaves a sizeable gap up front.

With last season’s 12-goal top scorer gone and Alexis Sánchez also departing, Isaac Romero is the only recognised centre-forward. SC Braga striker Fran Navarro has emerged as another target for the role.

Vardy’s career features a rapid rise from Stocksbridge Park Steels, Halifax Town and Fleetwood Town to Leicester in 2012, where he spent 13 seasons. He won the Premier League in 2015-16, the FA Cup in 2021 and the Community Shield, before moving abroad in 2025 to join Cremonese. Sevilla must now decide whether to move formally for the veteran forward.
