Sevilla are preparing for the post-World Cup window and are monitoring Bayern Munich winger Bryan Zaragoza as a potential replacement if Rubén Vargas moves to British football. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Málaga-born wide man features prominently on their shortlist.
Zaragoza is viewed as a good fit for Luis García Plaza's system in the line of three behind the striker. Sevilla's recruitment team has begun exploring alternatives to reinforce that area.
Under contract at Bayern Munich until 2029, he wants a project that restores regular minutes. Recent loans to Osasuna, Celta de Vigo and AS Roma brought mixed returns and he did not fully nail down a starting spot.
Quick and direct, he excels in one on one situations and strikes well from mid-range, qualities that earned a Spain debut. He is considered a tempting market opportunity if he rediscovers peak form.
Any deal is expected to hinge on a sizeable sale of Rubén Vargas, with Aston Villa planning a lucrative offer. The most feasible route would be a simple loan including a non-obligatory purchase option.
Zaragoza's rise began at CD El Ejido before shining for Granada's B team, then debuting in Segunda in 2022/2023 and helping seal promotion. Bayern signed him in January 2024 for around 20 million euros, but adaptation and fierce competition limited his Bundesliga impact.
He joined Osasuna on loan, then moved to Celta for last season, before the Balaídos agreement was cut short in February and he headed to Roma. Minutes were scarce in Italy, and Sevilla is now being considered as a possible next stop.
