Shaw and Casparij up for WSL November POTM | OneFootball

Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw and Kerstin Casparij have both been shortlisted for November's Barclays Women’s Super League Player of the Month award.

The pair played a key role in an impressive month for City, which saw us maintain a 100% record across three matches against West Ham, Everton and Manchester United.

Andrée Jeglertz’s side sit top of the WSL table heading into the latest international break having won each of our last eight league matches.

It’s been a strong start to the season, with Shaw currently leading the way in the Golden Boot race with six goals, while Casparij’s six goal involvements is double any other defender in the WSL so far across 2025/26.

After helping City to a hard-fought 1-0 win over West Ham, Shaw’s powerful header away to Everton helped us on our way to a 2-1 victory on Merseyside.

The following week the Blues laid down a marker with a dominant 3-0 win over Manchester United, with Casparij grabbing two assists and Shaw one, while also once again finding the net.

They even combined for our second of the afternoon, with Casparij’s teasing ball poked home by Shaw to extend our advantage at the Etihad Stadium.

The duo are up against Everton’s Kelly Gago, London City Lionesses’ Freya Godfrey, Liverpool’s Beata Olsson and Chelsea’s Alyssa Thompson for the award.
