Chris Wilder has certainly taken them back in the right direction after Ruben Selles' disastrous time in charge of the Championship club, and the Bramall Lane faithful will be eager to see the club challenging for promotion into the top-flight next season.

Sheffield United will be looking to pick up three points from their clash with Swansea City on Friday, as they look to finish this season strongly.

It's still been a busy week off-the-field though, with plenty of transfer updates emerging from in and around the club, ahead of what is set to be an interesting summer at the club.

We'll take you through a round-up of the latest Sheffield United news from the last week.

Celtic & Rangers keen on forward

There have been rumours of some of the Sheffield United squad being linked with a move away from Bramall Lane heading towards the summer transfer window, and Tyrese Campbell is the latest player to join that list.

The forward has been with Sheffield United since 2024, having previously played for Stoke City. Campbell has scored six goals this season, and will be keen to add to that tally before this year's campaign reaches a conclusion.

It's been claimed by The Daily Record that the Blades forward is being tracked by Scottish giants, Celtic and Rangers, over a potential agreement this summer.

Campbell has just over a year remaining on his current contract with Sheffield United, and it remains to be seen as to whether he'll commit his future to the club, especially if he's attracting interest from clubs with the reputation that Celtic and Rangers have.

Sheffield United were previously interested in a deal to sign Dundee defender Luke Graham, but it appears as though they're struggling to stay in front in the race to land his signature.

The Daily Record has recently reported that Rangers are 'far down the line' with negotiations to secure an agreement with Graham, which will be frustrating to hear for Chris Wilder's side.

The 22-year-old has caught the eye for all the right reasons so far this term in Scotland, and Rangers look set to beat the Blades to him this summer.

Nils Zatterstrom makes admission on his future

Nils Zatterstrom was signed by Sheffield United last summer, but it's safe to say that the move to the Championship isn't one that has paid off for the Swedish international.

The centre-back signed a four-year deal with the Blades, but hasn't made a single senior appearance for the English club, whilst featuring once for Sheffield United's Under-21s side.

He was sent out on loan to Italian side Genoa, but has found game time hard to come by there as well, making just one appearance, in what has been a season to forget for the former Malmo defender.

In a recent interview, Zatterstrom has admitted that the change in manager from Ruben Selles to Chris Wilder earlier this term has been one of the reasons as to why his time with Sheffield United has been frustrating, whilst also stating that he's keen to stay in Italy with Genoa.

"No, the coach who brought me there got fired early on. And the new coach had a different playing style and different players he believed in. So, I was often sitting in the stands there," said Zatterstrom, via Fotboll Skanalen.
