Sheffield United sign former Birmingham City forward Quinn | OneFootball

Sheffield United have completed the signing of former Birmingham City forward Lucy Quinn on a free transfer.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blades this afternoon.

The 32-year-old forward joins Sheffield United after leaving Birmingham City earlier this summer. Quinn spent two spells with Blues between 2017 and 2019 and from 2021 to 2026. She won the Barclays WSL2 title with the club last season. Quinn made more than 150 appearances for Birmingham City in all competitions.

On the international stage, Quinn has been capped by the Republic of Ireland on 34 occasions in which she has scored five goals.

After joining Sheffield United, Quinn said “The main feeling is excitement. I’m really happy to get it done and start to focus on coming in, meeting everyone properly and getting back out on the grass.

“The stage I’m at in my career, I’m really big on people, and when I met everyone here I felt really welcome and felt it was a good place to come, express myself and bring something to the team.

“The staff are putting a lot of trust in me, they want me to come onboard, and I just hope I can repay that.”

Quinn is Sheffield United’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window.
