A former youth player with Brentford and Southampton, Rossi moved from Bournemouth to Kilmarnock for the 2020-21 campaign on loan where he played 20 games and scored one goal in the Scottish Premiership.

The 6-ft 4in defender had a short loan spell then at Dundee, with 4 appearances before making the move from Bournemouth to Cambridge United permanently on a three year deal, where he went on to make 60 senior appearances for the League Two side.

In total, Ibsen Rossi has made 91 senior club appearances and scored 1 goal prior to joining Shelbourne FC.

Zeno Ibsen Rossi said: “I’m really excited to sign for Shelbourne. I know that it is a huge club with a clear direction it is going in, and it felt like the right move for me. I’m looking forward to joining up with the team, meeting the players, staff and fans, and contributing as much as I can this season.”

Joey O’Brien Shelbourne FC Head Coach, said: “He has built up a decent amount of senior experience at a good level in England and Scotland over the past few seasons. He is a big presence physically, strong in the air and comfortable on the ball, which is important for how we want to play. Zeno is at a good age, hungry to prove himself and ready for the next step. We think he will add real competition to the group and be a strong addition to our defensive options.”

Luke Byrne, Shelbourne FC Technical Director said: “When a player like Zeno with good senior experience comes in, it is a positive for the squad. Competition for places is healthy. It keeps everyone focused and pushes the level up across the pitch. We are looking forward to welcoming Zeno in and helping him settle quickly.”
