FC Bayern are continuing on their current course by signing the next promising talent to the club on a long-term contract. David Santos Daiber has signed his first professional contract in Munich
As reported by Sky, the extension with the 19-year-old is fixed. There is no information on the exact term so far. For the Portuguese U19 international, it is an important step in his still young career – and at the same time a clear signal from those responsible at Bayern
A clear strategy has been pursued at Säbener Straße for some time now: the focus is to return to the campus and strengthen the professional squad in the long term. Santos Daiber’s contract extension fits perfectly into this concept
Despite the strong competition in midfield, the youngster made a conscious decision to stay with the record champions – a sign that he has been given realistic prospects internally

Santos Daiber has already played for FC Bayern for almost nine years. He moved from TSV Milbertshofen to the Campus in 2016 and has since progressed through all of the youth academies
In the current season, he gained important match practice in the U19s, played in the Youth League and the DFB Youth League and was also able to gain his first experience in the men’s second team
The midfielder has also been given a taste of the professional game, making his Bundesliga debut at the end of December in a 4-0 win against 1. FC Heidenheim, followed by further minutes in a victory against Borussia Mönchengladbach
Santos Daiber is currently being slowed down by a muscle injury in his thigh, which is forcing him to take a break. However, this does not change his internal rating
On the contrary: FC Bayern particularly value his intelligence, his calmness on the ball and his clean style of play in the center – qualities that could make him a real option for the professional squad in the future
By extending his contract, Munich are once again underlining their long-term focus, which is not only to train young players, but also to introduce them to the professional squad in a targeted manner
Santos Daiber is the next example of this approach – and could soon play a bigger role at FC Bayern.
