Former Italy international Giuseppe Rossi will play his farewell match in Florence on March 22, joined by several Serie A legends and his ex-coach at Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson.
Rossi retired in the summer of 2023, but his farewell game will only be played next month.
The ex-Fiorentina star’s ‘last dance’ will be in a match at the Stadio Franchi in Florence on March 22, 2025.
Rossi announced on Wednesday that many of his ex-Fiorentina teammates and some Serie A legends would participate.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Rossi confirmed Luca Toni, Antonio Cassano, Sebastien Frey, Borja Valero and Gabriel Omar Batistuta will be among the former players taking part in the game.
Rossi revealed that even his former Manchester United coach, Sir Alex Ferguson, would attend the match.
Ferguson gave Rossi his debut in senior football at Manchester United in 2004.
“He will be there as a coach too. He was my first coach, I signed [for Man United] when I was 17,” Rossi said.
“I only spent three years with him and played little, but he immediately said yes, which shows the kind of person he is. I didn’t do much at United, but he treats me like a Ronaldo, who has scored 1,000 goals.”
Rossi played for the Red Devils from 2004 to 2007, making 14 appearances and scoring four goals across all competitions. He played for Fiorentina from 2013 to 2017, scoring 19 goals in 42 games.
“It will be a wonderful evening, a celebration for Florence and Fiorentina fans as well. Florence is like a second home for me—every time I come back, I feel great,” Rossi continued.
“We had amazing moments, both at the stadium and beyond. Even though it was ‘only’ three years, they were very intense, with memories that will go down in history and tough times too, like the injuries.”
