AC Milan and Inter will contest the second leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final tonight at San Siro, but six players must watch themselves.
It is all to play for in the return fixture after Milan and Inter drew the first leg 1-1 at San Siro three weeks ago. Both goals came in the second half as Tammy Abraham got the opener with a lovely turn and finish before Hakan Calhanoglu equalised with a strike from range.
The Coppa Italia not only represents a last resort for the Rossoneri’s hopes of a Europa League spot, but it is also something that the Nerazzurri must tick off if they are to capture what would be a dream treble.
However, as Football Italia report, six players would miss the Coppa Italia final if they get a yellow card in tonight’s game because they are just one caution away from reaching the threshold in the competition.
Francesco Acerbi, Yann Bisseck and Denzel Dumfries are the Inter players it concerns, but the Dutchman is not at risk because he is unavailable due to an injury. Bisseck and Acerbi are also currently not expected to start.
For Milan meanwhile it is Filippo Terracciano, Tijjani Reijnders and Theo Hernandez that are on the brink. The Dutch midfielder and the French defender are almost certain to get the nod, so must take care in view of the final on May 14.
