Chelsea youngster Josh Acheampong has emerged as a potential target for Crystal Palace this month according to Sky Sports.
Three players have already left Stamford Bridge this month, and there could be more before the end of the window.
Chelsea were expected to mainly focus on outgoings in this window, but in a change of plan they are looking to bring in a centre back and possibly a midfielder.
The Blues have identified Jeremy Jacquet as their main target at centre back, but it remains unclear if they are prepared to meet Rennes’ £60m asking price.
Chelsea are also exploring a short term loan deal for Douglas Luiz, to provide cover in midfield given the injury issues of Romeo Lavia and Dario Essugo.

The likes of Axel Disasi and Raheem Sterling could still leave, but another player is attracting interest according to reports.
Sky Sports have reported Acheampong has emerged as a potential target for Crystal Palace, and the 19-year-old is one of a number of options being considered to replace Marc Guehi.
The report adds no formal conversations are understood to have taken place between the clubs, whilst it’s unclear if Chelsea would sanction a permanent or temporary exit this month.
Chelsea turned down interest in Acheampong from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, but the teenager hasn’t played as much as he would have wanted this season, and it will be interesting to see if he feels his future is best served at Stamford Bridge.
Whilst Chelsea’s stance on Acheampong is unclear, it’s clear the Blues are trying to find a solution for Disasi, who recently returned to first team training.
