Liverpool coach Arne Slot says Federico Chiesa ‘is coming back into the session’ and is expected to return to action in a few weeks, even if ‘the last part of recovery is always the hardest.’
The Italy international has missed the last few games with the Reds, as Slot explained last month that the winger had to reach the same intensity as his teammates.

Chiesa has one assist in three appearances with Liverpool, but he’s expected to return to action in the coming weeks.
“Jota is still the same as Federico, who is coming back into the session after one exercise today,” Slot said at a press conference on Friday, as quoted by Liverpool Echo.
“All expected back in a few weeks, but the last part of recovery is always the hardest, so let’s wait and see.”
Chiesa joined Liverpool on a permanent transfer from Juventus at the end of August after missing the entire pre-season with the Old Lady, given that he was not part of Thiago Motta’s plans at the Allianz Stadium.
Chiesa has seven goals in 51 appearances with Italy’s national team but hasn’t played for the Azzurri since last summer’s Euros when Switzerland eliminated Luciano Spalletti’s men in the Round of 16.
