Boubakary Soumare is close to fitness but will not feature at Cheltenham, as Leicester City head to Gloucestershire for the FA Cup third round.
According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, Soumare has missed the last eight fixtures with a knee problem and could be involved at Coventry in the M69 Derby if his recovery continues.
Marti Cifuentes said Harry Souttar required minor surgery on a new issue and has restarted rehabilitation, with a return to the grass expected in a couple of weeks. He noted Souttar has not played for a year, so full readiness will take time.
The Spaniard added there are no plans to cut ties with Aaron Ramsey, who is out until late February after a recurrence of his hamstring injury. He thinks Ramsey can still contribute late in the season, though the situation will be monitored.
City travel with the same group as in recent matches, with no fresh injuries or comebacks. Victor Kristiansen remains out after knee surgery, while Harry Winks and Wout Faes do not appear to be in contention, leaving six senior players unavailable this weekend.
