One sources has confirmed that Chelsea are in the market for a second new striker signing even after Liam Delap’s expected arrival.
This news comes after Chelsea beat Real Betis to win the Conference League on Wednesday night after being a goal down at half time and turning it around.
The Blues ended up winning the game 4-1 in the end after a bit of a Cole Palmer masterclass in the second half, providing two beautiful assists for his team mates to grab crucial goals.
Although head coach Enzo Maresca is once again not willing to get carried away after this by insisting that Chelsea’s target for next season is not going to be winning the Champions League!
Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap is expected to be confirmed as a new Chelsea player this week after The Blues triggered his release clause and agreed terms with the England Under-21 international.

But a second striker could still arrive at Stamford Bridge as well as Delap, according to one source this weekend with updates on new striker names as well.
Ryan Taylor of The Daily Mirror says:
‘Chelsea will explore the signing of a second striker – despite already pulling off a major early coup by agreeing terms with £30million Liam Delap. The UEFA Conference League winners are continuing to monitor the forward market for opportunities, although they’re now prioritising the capture of a left-winger.
‘The Blues are expected to hold talks with Eintracht Frankfurt centre-forward Hugo Ekitike’s agent Karl Mwalako Buchmann over the course of the next week.
‘He also says that Chelsea are prioritising a new left winger for now though more than that second striker.’
