Southampton have been handed a home tie against Leicester in the FA Cup fourth round, with matches to be played around the weekend of Saturday, 14 February and Sunday, 15 February.

According to Sainstmarching.com, this year marks the 50th anniversary of Southampton's only FA Cup win. The clubs last met in the competition in 2020-21, a Wembley semi-final Leicester won 1-0 via a second-half Kelechi Iheanacho strike, sending them to a first final in over 50 years.

This season, they have already met at St Mary's, where Southampton ran out 3-0 winners. Taylor Harwood-Bellis scored twice and Finn Azaz added another, while Olabade Aluko was sent off as Tonda Eckert's side made it four wins in a row.

Southampton edged through the third round after a laboured second half at Doncaster. They led 3-0 at half-time, and goals from Cameron Bragg, Cameron Archer and Kuryu Matsuki proved enough to progress.

The head coach has called the FA Cup a beautiful competition, and Southampton will hope to go deep.
