Deportivo de La Coruna’s breakout star Yeremay Hernandez has made headlines across Spain after expressing his admiration for Real Madrid, admitting that wearing the famous white shirt one day would be a dream come true.
The 22-year-old winger has been one of the standout performers in La Liga Hypermotion, scoring four goals and two assists in 13 league matches.
Hernandez has been a key figure for Deportivo, driving their promotion push with his creativity, speed, and eye for goal.
The 22-year-old recently spoke with Cadena SER, where he opened up about his ambitions for the future.
“I really like the Spanish league, our league.
“I like the big teams, Barça and Madrid, they are top teams and I would love to play for one of them one day, it would be a dream come true.
“But for now, my dream is to play for Depor,” he said.
While Hernandez was respectful in mentioning both clubs, Real Madrid fans must take notice.
His playing profile – technically sharp, quick, and versatile – fits perfectly with Madrid’s recent transfer philosophy of investing in young, promising talents who can develop under the club’s demanding standards.

With the likes of Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr, and Kylian Mbappe forming a young core at the Bernabeu, Hernandez could represent the next wave of Spanish talent ready to shine on the grandest stage.
When asked about the possibility of playing alongside stars such as Mbappe or Lamine Yamale, Hernandez smiled and added,
“Playing alongside those two would be amazing. We would play well together. They would pass you the ball and all that.”
The thought of him combining with Mbappe in a Real Madrid shirt certainly adds an intriguing twist to his words.
Lastly, the winger also addressed the idea of one day representing Spain at the international level.
“It is a bit far off. Right now it is a bit far off, I’m playing in the Second Division and I have to keep taking steps forward.
“Hopefully one day it will happen, because it would be amazing,” he said.
