Leonardo Spinazzola and Lorenzo Lucca warn that Napoli cannot keep gifting goals after their 3-2 win over Pisa. ‘All you need is a little moment of superficiality and it all changes.’
The Partenopei maintained their perfect start to the Serie A season, but it was another tough slog at the Stadio Maradona.
They were 3-1 up through Billy Gilmour and Lucca’s first goals for the club, around a Spinazzola strike and M’Bala Nzola penalty.
Giovanni Di Lorenzo gave the ball away at the by-line for a late Lorran tap-in, setting up the tense finale to squeeze past newly promoted Pisa 3-2.

“We knew that it would be tough, because Pisa are physically strong, tactically well drilled, defend well, so they caused us problems. That makes these three very important points,” Spinazzola told Sky Sport Italia.
“There’s a long way to go, but we really have to end our games better, because it was over and we allowed them to open it all up again.”
It was a difficult week for Napoli, as they lost the Champions League opener 2-0 away to Manchester City, having played down to 10 men for most of the match, and some of that fatigue perhaps showed towards the end here.
“It was over at 3-1, Pisa weren’t even pressing us anymore, but all you need is that little moment of superficiality and it all changes.”

Lucca has rather disappeared from the Napoli squad since the arrival of Rasmus Hojlund, even with the long-term Romelu Lukaku injury, but he came off the bench today and scored within minutes.
“I am very happy to have brought home three fundamental points, we must continue like this. We know that we are strong, but we’ve got to keep working week after week to bring home as many wins as possible,” Lucca told Sky Sport Italia.
“I just have to do what the coach asks and when he calls me, I am the first to throw myself into the mix to give my all for the team.”
Napoli are the only team with a perfect Serie A record after four rounds, sending them two points clear at the top of the table.
“The season has only just started, we’ve got to take it one game at a time. We are top of the table right now, we fought hard in Manchester even down to 10 men.”
