Callum Slattery settled the game in the 82nd minute with a glancing header, as Motherwell beat Dundee 1-0 at Fir Park.
The midfielder set the tone in the first half, twice testing the goalkeeper from inside and outside the box and dragging another effort wide from the centre.
After the restart, his passing kept Dundee pinned back. He fed Elijah Just to draw another save and consistently recycled attacks around the edge of the area.
Late on, he ghosted into the box to glance Elliot Watt's cross into the bottom left corner, a decisive finish that crowned his sustained influence.
Slattery ended with five attempts, three on target, and three key passes, a tidy snapshot of how he drove Motherwell's attacking play and found pockets between the lines.
Motherwell rise from fourth to third in the Scottish Premiership and visit Rangers next. Dundee remain 10th and host Falkirk next.
