Statement: “Completely unacceptable”

After two spectators were injured around kick-off, board member Philipp Reschke commented on the incidents.

At the start of Eintracht Frankfurt’s home match against VfB Stuttgart on Matchday 34, two spectators were injured in the north-west stand after pyrotechnics were set off. As the game kicked off, numerous firecrackers and flares were launched in the home section.

“This behaviour is madness, impossible to comprehend and completely unacceptable,” said Philipp Reschke in an initial statement. “By using firecrackers and especially flares, you are knowingly risking exactly what has now happened. We are currently trying to get in touch with those affected.”
