Steve Barker's Simba SC recorded back-to-back wins in the Tanzanian Premier League following a 2-0 victory over 10-man Kinondoni MC on Wednesday.
Selemani Mwalimu, who's on loan from Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club, opened the scoring in the 38th minute.
Recently signed Libasse Gueye doubled the lead on the stroke of half time, before the home team was subjected to a numerical disadvantage in the 86th minute.
Barker's men moved up to sixth on the NBC Premier League standings, having picked up 19 points in eight matches.
Notably, Simba have seven games in hand over log leaders JKT Tanzania, due to their continental commitments.
Barker was lured from South African club Stellenbosch FC in December 2025, and he has been tasked with toppling fierce rivals Young Africans, who have won four consecutive league titles.
Meanwhile, Simba return to action with their final CAF Champions League group stage match against Stade Malien on Saturday, 14 February.
The Reds of Msimbazi have been knocked out of the competition as they sit bottom of Group D with two points from five games.
