The STJD has set a Friday hearing for Corinthians, one staff member and four players over incidents in Sunday’s Dérbi with Palmeiras at Neo Química Arena.

The case is last on Wednesday’s agenda, with the third Disciplinary Commission sitting from 10.00, according to Meu Timao.

Only five days will have elapsed between the match and judgement. The complaint was filed on Monday, citing goalkeeper Hugo Souza, right-back Matheuzinho, midfielders Breno Bidon and André, and goalkeeping coach Luiz Fernando Santos under various CBJD articles, with penalties that could reach 12 games and fines.

André and Matheuzinho were sent off during the game. André made an obscene gesture towards Andreas Pereira and was dismissed after a VAR review. Matheuzinho was cited for violent conduct after striking Flaco López in the face.

Post-match, Hugo Souza was reported for insulting the referee’s honour in a pitchside interview. Breno Bidon allegedly committed a hostile act amid a tunnel fracas. Coach Luiz Fernando Santos was also cited over the off-field melee, with accusations of aggression from both sides.

Institutionally, Corinthians face charges over a drone with a plush pig, a stoppage from a kite line, delays to both halves, and a racist insult from a female supporter in the West Stand towards Carlos Miguel. The club showed solidarity and pledged to identify the culprit to the authorities.

Palmeiras face a single charge relating to the post-match brawl, with the maximum sanction a fine if the participants cannot be identified.
