Real Madrid star Rodrygo has on Wednesday sent a message the way of the Spanish media, in a clear response to the recent speculation surrounding his name.

Frontman Rodrygo has of course taken his place centre stage in the headlines across Spain over the last couple of weeks.

This comes amid mounting claims that the Brazilian is ready to seek out a departure from the Santiago Bernabéu in the summer.

His snub in Real’s Clásico defeat at the hands of Barcelona last weekend only added fuel to the fire, too.

Rodrygo has since been condemned to a fresh spell on the sidelines, potentially set to miss the final three fixtures of Los Blancos’ campaign as a result.

And as alluded to above, amid the ongoing chatter surrounding his name, the 24-year-old has on Wednesday spoken out.

In a post on his official Instagram account, Rodrygo first thanked all those to have made contact regarding his injury, before calling for the media to stop ‘making things up’:

“Thank you for all your messages and concerns. I’ll be back soon. Stop making things up.”
