Strasbourg head coach Liam Rosenior is the frontrunner to fill Chelsea’s managerial vacancy, according to the BBC. The Blues are in the market for a head coach after parting ways with Enzo Maresca. The Italian manager has left his position amid growing tensions with the club’s BlueCo owners during a poor run of results from the Club World Cup winners, who have only won one Premier League game in December.
Rosenior is reportedly regarded within BlueCo for his remarkable work in Strasbourg, which has been taken over by the American consortium in 2023. The former Hull City FC manager replaced Patrick Vieira in 2024. Strasbourg are seventh in Ligue 1 and top of the Conference League standings. The BBC understands that candidates are being considered to replace Rosenior at Strasbourg should the 41-year-old were to join Chelsea.
