Kicker reports that Stuttgart’s purchase of Ecuadorian striker Jeremy Arévalo is only being held up by a minor technicality. The €7m deal to bring the Racing Santander forward to the Bundesliga is officially done, but the 20-year-old cannot officially be unveiled until the release clause in his contract is officially triggered on January 1st, 2026.

Arévalo has passed his Stuttgart medical

Multiple footballing media sources reported that there were no issues with Arevalo’s medical yesterday. Some Stuttgart supporters might have been concerned that – as was the case with South Korean striker Oh-Hyeong-Gyu this past autumn– something fishy had been detected. Kicker’s reliable Stuttgart correspondent George Moissidis assures that this is not the case.

What is the status of Stuttgart’s striker corps?

Ermedin Demirovic’s comeback from a major foot injury incurred this past October is proceeding apace. The Bosnian international returned to team training two weeks ago, but was still not able to join the squad in the final Bundesliga match prior to the winter break.

Deniz Undav’s form surge petered out slightly heading into the break. The 29-year-old nevertheless did manage to score one more goal and add another assist in his final three games across all competitions prior to the hiatus.
