Sunderland have appointed Jack Bewley as a first-team analyst under Régis Le Bris, adding to the Academy of Light staff following promotion back to the Premier League.
Bewley arrives after serving as a first-team analyst intern at Rochdale during the 2025-26 campaign. He has previously worked as a set-piece analyst intern at Norwich City, with earlier performance analysis experience at FC Marshalls. He confirmed the move in a post, saying he was delighted to accept the role and would complete an MSc alongside it.
A Liverpool John Moores University graduate in Science and Football, he achieved a 2:1 and will continue his development within Sunderland’s performance environment. The role will run alongside an MSc in Sport Performance Analysis with the University of Worcester.
The Black Cats have added quality across several departments since returning to the top flight, and further behind-the-scenes growth is expected as the Academy of Light evolves. The club have also advertised a senior analyst position to deepen resources in their analysis department.
Sunderland are back in action against Chelsea in the Premier League at the Stadium of Light this weekend, with a place in Europe on the line for Le Bris’ men.
