In a recent report, journalist Ekrem Konur stated that Sunderland are facing stiff competition for Barcelona winger Roony Bardghji. It has been mentioned that the Black Cats would have to rival Aston Villa, Leeds United, Everton, Brighton and Hove Albion and Brentford in the race to sign the Swedish wide player this summer.
Bardghji managed to shine at times with his performances on the right side of Barca’s attack last season. The 20-year-old played in 28 matches for the Catalan club in the previous campaign, scoring two times and earning four assists in the process across various competitions.
The Swedish sensation is currently one of the most gifted young wide players in La Liga. Hence, it is no wonder that the Black Cats are in the running to land him in this summer transfer period.
His current contract at the Nou Camp will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it difficult for Sunderland to sign Bardghji on the cheap later this year.

Bardghji is a decent dribbler with the ball and can make some promising runs with the ball out in the wide areas. He has got the vision to play a few killer passes in the final third and can shoot the ball with power from long range.
The Swedish wide player can chip in by scoring and creating a few crucial goals for his team. However, Bardghji has to find a way to be more consistent in front of the opponent’s goal. Plus, there are some question marks over whether he can adapt to the physicality and high intensity of the Premier League if the Black Cats manage to snap him up this summer.
Bardghji would bring more firepower to Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris’ frontline in the long run. He has what it takes to fight for a regular starting place at the Stadium of Light in the coming years.
At 20, the future looks quite bright for Bardghji as long as he continues to improve with each season. He could be a real asset in Le Bris’ squad next season. All in all, Bardghji would be an excellent option for the Wearside outfit to consider in the long run.
