Sunderland confirm USA pre-season tour with Liverpool, Leeds United and Wrexham | OneFootball

Sunderland will head to the USA this summer for a three-game pre-season tour featuring Liverpool, Leeds United and Wrexham, spanning late July and early August as preparations intensify for what now seems certain to be another Premier League season.

The club said the schedule offers strong sporting merit and forms part of a wider plan to grow revenues for future squad investment. They aim to build awareness in the growing market for football and the Premier League in the United States, and to explore new commercial opportunities.

The Black Cats will base themselves in Nashville, Tennessee, for a week-long camp before facing Liverpool at Geodis Park on Saturday 25 July.

They then travel to Harrison, New Jersey, to meet Leeds United on Thursday 30 July at Sports Illustrated Stadium, home of the New York Red Bulls and Gotham FC.

The tour concludes in Chester, Pennsylvania, where Sunderland play Phil Parkinson's Wrexham at Subaru Park on Sunday 2 August. Kick-off times and broadcast details will be confirmed in due course. The trip is being staged in collaboration with promoter TEG Sport.
