Sunderland contract status as Neil, Cirkin, Traore and Huggins set to depart | OneFootball

Sunderland will confirm several departures next week as contracts expire, with the retained list earlier this month setting the tone. According to Sunderland Echo, Dennis Cirkin will leave on a free after helping to deliver two promotions, and Dan Neil, Bertrand Traore and Niall Huggins are into the final days of their deals. A number of senior players also move into the final 12 months ahead of a season in which Regis Le Bris’ side compete in the Europa League.

Academy departures include Oliver Bainbridge, Marshall Burke, Dan Cameron, Thomas Lavery, Elias Lenz, Ethan Moore, Adam Richardson, Rhys Walsh, Jake Waters, Ivan Struk and George Bell.

Summer 2026: Bertrand Traore to leave, Lutsharel Geertruida loan, Dennis Cirkin to leave, Niall Huggins to leave, Dan Neil to leave.

Summer 2027: Reinildo Mandava, Luke O’Nien, Abdoullah Ba, Simon Moore, Alan Browne, Nazariy Rusyn, Arthur Masuaku, Aji Alese, Zak Johnson.

Summer 2028: Granit Xhaka, Wilson Isidor, Romaine Mundle, Milan Aleksic, Ahmed Abdullahi, Luis Semedo, Jenson Seelt, Timothee Pembele, Anthony Patterson, Leo Hjelde.

Summer 2029: Nordi Mukiele, Omar Alderete, Brian Brobbey, Enzo Le Fee.
