Sunderland have been handed a boost on Enzo Le Fée after the midfielder missed the 1-0 pre-season win over Wrexham in Philadelphia.
According to Sunderland Echo, Le Fée was omitted from Régis Le Bris’s squad after what was described as a minor injury, prompting unease as preparations enter their final stretch.
However, supporter Tom Perez saw him completing running work on the pitch after full time, jogging laps with a member of the coaching or medical staff for around 10 to 15 minutes.
He was also visible running in the background of Robin Roefs’s post-match interview, later posted on the club’s official social channels.
There is still no firm diagnosis or timeframe, but his ability to complete sustained running is a positive sign. It would suggest the issue is not set to keep him out for long, and Sunderland will manage his workload carefully.
Le Fée remains a key figure for Le Bris in advanced midfield areas, adding a different dimension in possession. The Black Cats hope he can rejoin full training soon, with further updates likely before the next pre-season fixture.
