Sunderland first-half ratings at York as Enzo Le Fee leads 4-0 start | OneFootball

Sunderland opened their 2026/27 campaign with a slick first half that delivered a 4-0 lead at York City. York moved the ball neatly at times, but Sunderland's greater quality told.

According to Sunderland Echo, Regis Le Bris selected an experienced XI for the first 45 minutes, then turned to academy prospects after the break at the LNER Community Stadium.

Enzo Le Fee struck first with a first-time finish, Chris Rigg doubled the advantage from Trai Hume's delivery, Timur Tutierov added the third, then Le Fee swept in again before the interval.

Nordi Mukiele coasted through the half, tidy in possession and producing two superb sliding tackles, one that almost brought a Rigg goal and another that led to Le Fee scoring. He was rated eight.

Hume impressed on the ball, handled a lively opponent and his assist underlined his threat. Luke O'Nien made key interventions when York did deliver into the box and was composed in possession. Both were rated seven.

Goalkeeper Melker Ellborg had little to do, though he raced across to block at the back post before an offside flag. Assured with the ball, he received a six.
