Sunderland are being linked with a series of summer moves as talk of a £55.9m reshuffle under Régis Le Bris and Florent Ghisolfi gathers pace after a superb first season back in the Premier League.
Media Foot reports that Sunderland are looking at Marseille midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, valued at around £3m and under contract until 2027, with wages said to be a factor as Marseille plan outgoings.
talkSPORT claims Valencia are considering Dan Neil, whose Sunderland deal expires at the end of June after a loan at Ipswich Town in which he helped win promotion. The 24-year-old is expected to be available on a free, with Carlos Corberan said to admire him from his time in England.
Il Resto del Carlino states Sunderland are among the clubs monitoring Sweden right-back Emil Holm, 26, owned by Bologna and loaned to Juventus last term. Despite injuries, he produced one goal and four assists in 17 Serie A games, and Juventus are not expected to trigger a reported £13.9m option.
TEAMtalk suggests Sunderland and Everton could revisit Abdul Fatawu after Leicester’s drop to League One, with the winger considered ready for Premier League football. Leicester are reportedly open to offers in the £15m to £20m range.
Defensa Central writes that Real Madrid are weighing Trai Hume as low-cost right-sided cover, with a mooted price near €22m, about £19m, amid wider options. Their assessment is said to include competition for Trent Alexander-Arnold following Dani Carvajal’s expected exit.
