Sunderland relaunch season ticket waiting list for 2027-28 and what it means for 15,000 fans | OneFootball

Sunderland will introduce a new season ticket waiting list for 2027-28, open only to supporters with an active Black Cats Membership.

According to Sunderland Echo, registration opens at 12pm on Thursday, July 23 via supporters’ ticketing accounts, with a step-by-step guide on ASKSAFC.

Black Cats Adult and Black Cats Academy Memberships both qualify. Every person, including children and those linked through Friends and Family, must hold their own membership.

The previous list closed at the start of July. Around 15,000 fans were still on it and were emailed about the change, and none will be transferred to the new list.

On joining, supporters receive a fixed queue position that moves only when season tickets become available and those ahead buy or leave. The club will provide one update each season after renewals and any seat moves.

Joining does not guarantee a season ticket for 27-28. Availability depends on non-renewals and any further seats, with those highest on the list contacted first.

A supporter’s place is linked to an active membership, so it must be renewed each season to retain their spot. Letting it lapse could mean losing that position.

Existing season ticket holders do not need to join to keep their seat. If seeking an additional seat for someone else, that person must have their own Adult or Academy Membership.
