Sunderland set full 2026-27 pre-season, United States tour and home date confirmed | OneFootball

Sunderland have confirmed their full pre-season schedule ahead of the 2026-27 Premier League, with a United States tour and a home friendly among the fixtures. According to Sunderland Echo, Régis Le Bris’ side will face York City, Liverpool, Leeds United, Wrexham, RC Lens and Stade Rennais.

The programme starts at York City on Saturday, 18 July at the LNER Community Stadium, kick-off 3pm BST. The squad then spend a week in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Nashville stint ends with Liverpool at Geodis Park on Saturday, 25 July, kick-off 5pm CDT. They then head to Harrison, New Jersey to play Leeds United at the Sports Illustrated Stadium on Thursday, 30 July at 7.30pm EDT.

The tour finishes on Sunday, 2 August against Wrexham at Subaru Park in Chester, Pennsylvania, kick-off 12pm EDT. After returning to Wearside, Sunderland travel to France for a double-header with RC Lens on Saturday, 8 August.

A Sunderland XI meet a Lens XI behind closed doors at the Ligue 1 club’s training ground at 11am BST, before a different XI face Lens at Stade Bollaert-Delelis at 4pm BST.

The only home friendly is against Stade Rennais at the Stadium of Light on Saturday, 15 August, kick-off 3pm BST. It falls one week before the 2026-27 Premier League season begins, with ticketing and streaming details to follow in due course.
