Sunderland set to sign Guiu on loan

Sunderland are close to sealing the loan signing of Marc Guiu from Chelsea for the 2025/26 season.

The teenage forward joined the Blues from Barcelona last season and featured in 19 games in all competitions, scoring six times.

However, of those 19 appearances only three came in the Premier League and all those were from the bench.

Now the Spaniard has a chance to get more minutes under his belt in the English top flight with journalist Fabrizio Romano reporting that he will join on loan next season.

The loan deal will not include any sort of purchase option for the Black Cats who have brought in several new faces this summer in a bid to ensure their Premier League survival.
