Sunderland ‘to eye’ £77m triple transfer package as new targets emerge | OneFootball

Sunderland are being linked with a bold triple recruitment push worth up to £77m as Florent Ghisolfi weighs options before the new season.

The club have enquired about Roma winger Matias Soulé, according to Tele Radio Stereo. The 23-year-old is valued at just over €35m, around £30m, and Sunderland are understood to have requested information only. There is a clear Ghisolfi link after he helped take Soulé to Roma from Juventus in 2024.

A left-footed right winger, Soulé impressed on loan at Frosinone and is noted for dribbling and creativity. Borussia Dortmund have also been credited with interest, while he is reportedly not attracted by offers from Saudi Arabia.

Sunderland are also being linked with Parma centre-back Mariano Troilo. Fulham are said to have had a bid of around €20m, roughly £17m, rejected, with Leeds United and Sunderland now in the frame and Parma seeking more than £17m before serious talks. Troilo, 23, joined from Belgrano for about €8m, or £6.8m, grew into Serie A in the second half of last season, and Parma are in no rush to sell.

The Black Cats have further been credited with interest in Sassuolo defender Tarik Muharemović, with Bournemouth considered rivals and Juventus thought to be some way behind. His estimated market value sits between €25m and €35m, approximately £21.5m to £30m, and Juventus are reported to hold a buy-back clause of around €18m, or £15.5m.

Across the three mooted deals, fees could total between £68.5m and £77m, subject to Muharemović’s valuation and Parma’s stance on Troilo. Sunderland’s first team return to training at the Academy of Light today.
