Sunderland are weighing up a double summer move, with interest in Napoli midfielder André-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Olympiacos right-back Costinha.

According to Il Mattino, the Black Cats remain keen on Anguissa after exploring a deal last summer, and the 30-year-old faces an uncertain future with suggestions Napoli could be open to his departure.

Injuries have limited his appearances and complicated talks over fresh terms. He is under contract until 2027, and there is a growing sense Napoli may entertain offers rather than extend.

Sunderland and Bournemouth were among the clubs to push hardest previously, and his family were said to favour a return to England. Antonio Conte convinced him to stay at the time, and a Premier League switch could again be realistic this summer.

Despite recent fitness concerns, his profile would add experience and physicality to Sunderland’s midfield. He carries the ball through central areas and contributes in the final third. Any move would depend on finances.

Sunderland are also credited with interest in Costinha as they seek defensive reinforcements. The 26-year-old helped Olympiacos win a league and cup double last season and featured in Europe. His form has dipped at times this term, but he remains a regular.

The club are understood to have monitored him around January and could consider formalising their interest. Competition from England and Italy is anticipated. Olympiacos are unlikely to engage before their campaign ends, and Costinha is contracted until 2029.
