Sunderland’s home following has underpinned a positive 2025/26 campaign, and the club’s place in the Premier League attendance table reflects that backing. They are 12th on 47 points.
According to Zamsino, Manchester United lead the home attendance chart with 73,972, while Sunderland rank ninth on 46,366 at the Stadium of Light. They sit between Everton on 52,097 and Aston Villa on 41,918. Bournemouth are lowest on 11,173.
That support has helped deliver results on Wearside. Sunderland are 12th in the home-form table with 29 points, compared to 14th away with 18.
A recent run of two wins in six league games has checked hopes of Europe, which may be a blessing, offering more time to build in the top tier rather than risk fixture chaos next season.
With three matches remaining, they are 11 points clear of the relegation zone and five off the European places. The focus now is on consolidating a solid return and building on formidable home backing.
