Support pours in for Las Palmas captain Kirian Rodriguez after he announces his cancer has relapsed | OneFootball

Yesterday, devastating news emerged that Las Palmas captain Kirian Rodriguez is facing a relapse of Hodgkin Lymphoma, which he initially battled back in 2022.

Despite making a recovery when he first faced a battle with cancer, the condition has unfortunately returned and the 28-year-old will be taking the next six months to face his battle once again.

Support has been pouring in from the Spanish football community, with the likes of Real Madrid, Villarreal and Sevilla, among others, sending messages of support for Rodriguez.

In a heartfelt message, Real Madrid shared, “Dear Kirian Rodríguez, we wish you encouragement and strength to face this challenge. We hope that we can see each other again soon on the field of play with the fighting spirit that you’ve already shown. Real Madrid and all the Madridistas will be supporting you in this challenge.“
