Jose Riveiro the Spanish coach dismissed from Al Ahly on Sunday delivered his first message after leaving the club by mutual consent following series of poor results, capped by defeat to Pyramids in the league.

Emotional farewell to players and staff

In video shared on Al Ahly’s official page, Riveiro thanked everyone who attended his farewell:

"This proves we worked as team. We started project but results were not what people expected" he said.

Pride in representing Al Ahly

Riveiro reflected on his 3 month stint stressing professionalism & love for the club:

"It was huge honor to defend Al Ahly’s badge in major competitions. I thank President Mahmoud El Khatib, the staff and management for giving me this chance" he stated.
